I posted in the Bass Fishing Forum but thought I would post in here as well because I recently got addicted to the crappie thump!

Looks like you caught on quick.. You can apply a lot of your bass techniques to crappie fishing....except maybe setting the hook...

My fishing partner is an ex bass guide and he still tries to cross their eyes when he sets the hook....I get the biggest kick out of it.

I gotta calm the hookset down with braid for sure.  To da moon with you little crappie!!!!
