Went fly fishing for the first time in my 50 years, Big Horn National Forest Wyoming. Didn’t hate it, caught well, gotta lot to work on, will probably keep up with it. First post ever here, carry on.

Just remember, there are a lot of species to catch around here close that are not trout. And, they are all fun on a fly.

Capt. Mac is right on the money. You can have a lot of fun just catching blue gill and other panfish on a fly rod. Use small popping bugs on a local pond or creek. Don't be surprised if you catch a few bass while you are at it.
