That extra line. It's pretty good for pulling grand kids teeth if you can tie a good knot.

If two spools worth can fill one reel, then use cheap backing line and fill two reels... one reel with each remaining spool of line. If you are spooling up and entire reel with good line, then you’re just wasting line at that point. Yes, true. I use cheap backer and then a line counter for the good line and write on the spool how much I used, you can make the most bang for your buck with small spools doing it that way.
