Watching on ESPN2. Makes me wanna go fishing really bad until I remember about the wake boats. Maybe next week a day or two....does anyone know if 5lbers are a common thing in June at St Clair? I've always heard that the smallies size gets big at certain times of the year there, during prespawn? I'm hoping to take a guided trip there next year if covid allows me to. Good fishin, Okie

What kind of boat is Cody Hollen fishing. Dont want to be wrong but if it was Cody’s it had a couple of problems that surprised me. One he hurt his knee when he put it in the drivers seat landing a fish (not much padding?)But the one that had to burn the mfg of the boat was every time he closed the lid between the seats he had to push on the edge of the drivers seat to get the lid by. Fit and finish issues you would think they’d want to avoid.

Good fishin, Okie After watching them up there and the other NY tourneys it makes me want to go up there and fish as well!

I just don't get why most of those guys don't want to at front seat/lean post to fish in those tournaments. Some of them looked like they were about to fall out of the boat in that tournament. I did notice the guy that won the tournament had a seat.

I noticed Cox had his wife and kids up on the stage at weigh in. He looked shocked and MAD that he didn’t win. Wife and kids walked away, and he turned around and said something to the weigh in guys.

I think he had his family come up because he thought he had won. They all started to walk off stage but Cox turned around to congratulate Bill and shook his hand.

Four anglers were within a pound of the win. Three went home shaking their heads.

Good fishin, Okie I would highly recommend taking the trip. We have had a group go for the last 3 years in August (we left the day before the Elites started practice) and its a blast. 5 pounders are common any time the lake doesn't have ice on it. The numbers of 3-4 pound fish is incredible.

Fall and LATE fall is when you run into the fatties on St Clair. In the spring you'll catch numbers and 1-3bers. Fall is when you'll run into monsters. I miss St Clair so much!!!!!! Plus you never know when Mr Musky will follow your spinnerbait right up to the boat. PM me if you need a guide or two names or launches. Go in the spring so you can load up on walleye in the river!

That storm that came through Sunday morning was interesting. We were in a white Triton fishing with Art Ferguson, probably going back next year in my boat, same time.
