Going out with lanman71 tomorrow, wish us luck. We're gonna try Buck Creek timber if the weather cooperates. Anybody been there lately?

Bueller....Bueller...
Look for isolated timber in 15-25 ft of water. You should find crappie. I'd start at around 6 ft and go lower until you find the crappie.

Thanks Huey, that's pretty much what we planned on doing. Gonna be weird going to our old spots that are now 6' deeper. Memories of 3 yrs ago. Will report back on how we did/what we found out.

I wanted to be out there Sat morning (Buck Creek) but I promised my wife I'd finish intalling the oak floor in the livingroom. I might try to head out there Sunday if all goes well. Let me know how you do.

I started that floor 2 months ago and had to rip up about50 sq feet due to a concrete problem. I may just have to take a extra long trip to home depot in Denton, maybe bring my boat. hhmmm, while I'm over there i may as well....

We found a whole bunch of rain and wind. Finally after 9:30 or so we found some crappie on isolated timber, but they were on the bottom.

Yep, now that front is moving back north as a warm front this morning (on top of us now), the hot muggies are returning with a few storms around this afternoon evening. May be a few isolated storms Sunday afternoon/evening as well, but most action should be in Oklahoma/Arkansas by then.

I'm going on RR w/Cliff Monday and the weather looks dry, but hot/muggy by afternoon. Maybe the morning trip was the right call after all.

Glad y'all caught a few lanman71. I was inspired to take my two young un's out to a friend's tank between Azle and Boyd for a little bluegill and catfishing yesterday evening after work. They really enjoyed that, along with seeing the cows/horses they had.

We only kept 6 but they cleaned up nice. I had planned on frying them last night but decided to give the filets to my barber instead. She was pretty psyched as people always promise her fish but never bring it. Time to go get some more..keeping it next time.
