Hello Everyone,
All of us need a place to keep our toys so I figured this would be a good place to ask. I'm curious how much you all paid for your metal buildings. I am located in the western part of fort worth.
Here are the specs for my shop: - 30 'x 40' x 14 - Vinyl backed batting insulation -Three 10' x 12' overhead doors. Two in front and one in back - 6" slab - 15' x 20' covered patio on the side with a personnel door and window - No electrical. Going to do that myself. - HOA is requiring me to have a 4 foot tall brick wainscoting around the whole shop.
So far I've gotten three quotes and they range from $37,000 all the way up to $65,000. I know labor and steel prices have gone up recently but I am still in a little bit of sticker shock.

Make sure to ask what the frame will be made from on those quotes. An I Beam frame (what I would use) is obviously going to be more costly than 4" 11 ga square tube or whatever else they prefer using. To answer your question, the last 30X40 I built with a slab ran around $29-@29.5K with 8" I beam frame and one less roll up door than yours. No rock on it though. I would ask to present you a bid but I am covered up.
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish... Personal Best: 11.62 lbs

That doesn’t sound that’s far off . I have no idea what the masonary work on that would cost either . But the metal building business is booming at the moment good luck .

$37,000 would be a deal if they don’t cut corners. I’m not sure how they would really do all that for 37k and make any money and do it right. Make sure you vet them. Metal has gone up, more people are apparently building shops. When the trades are busy pricing goes up. Maybe if there is a slow down sometime soon you can get it cheaper

I'm going to build a 40×60. All the quotes were around 50,000. That's just concrete and building.

30X40X12, 15X40 shed roof connected, all concrete (under shed), vinyl backed insulation, 2-10x10 overhead doors, 2-3x4 windows, 1 walk door, basic wiring $37,500 Sounds like your price is pretty good.
