We headed out to Choke with our friends Sat. morning. It was super hot and extremely humid but worth the trip. We took new jigs to try out. We caught some nice gills.






We also caught crappie, catfish, gasper goo, and really nice carp oh and a couple of ditch pickles.










We also had hitch hiker.

Eddie and Marcel kept the crappie and a few big perch. The rest of the fish were released to swim another day. We had such a great time fishing with friends.

Great trip. Really nice mixed bag.

Side Note: Your Jigs don't stop catching! As been said, "They catch anything that can swim"!

Side Note: I usually fish Choke once a year. I have my PB carp, and drum off of Choke. It's also a great crappie lake during the winter!

The heat and humidity can be brutal this time of the year. Come on cooler weather!

Side note: Our youngest daughter has a carp record there at choke.

What type of jig did the carp bite on?

It was caught on a 1/8 oz static jig white and red.


I think its the red color they like, we have caught other carp using red jigs also
