Thanks Gitter,Barry, and Yesenia for the replies. Gitter: So far so good. Got a feeling that the bite will slow down during the HOT days of summer! There are plenty of grass beds where fish can hide and stay cool. Will just have to see. By looks of all your post so far so good!

You just don't know if you don't go. I've been fishing everyday from around 11 am until 3 or 4 pm and have been tearing up the Bluegill and Redears in the 7-10 inch range. 15-25 good ones every day is the norm. The reason I've been suffering the heat is that I've been fishing a local community lake which is usually pretty crowded in the morning and evening by bank strolling Bass Busters and with all the reeds, there are few places to access the water. Like Chuck said, I find the grass near deeper water and they have been there about 4-5 ft deep. Course that is just the water that I've been fishing, as our honey hole just recently got posted.

All I have to say is that you guys have one heck of a fishing hole! Nothing but slabs being posted all year. Good job. Side Note: Do you catch plenty of nice bass at that creek?

Thanks Curtis for the reply. Me and Rick have caught plenty of nice bass at this spot over the years that we have fished there . Most are in the 2 to 3 pound range. Rick as caught several in the 4 pound range. I have seen several five plus pound bass being caught by other anglers. All were released. Side Note: An angler showed me a picture of a nice eight pound bass that he caught there this past winter!

Big bass equals big sunfish. Thanks Chuck. Totally right.
