can anyone tell me what is all in the wichita river? i just got a property with wichita river frontage and want to know what all i can fish for. thanks

Well it's plum full of rough fish and catfish for sure. I'm sure some bluegill as well. Not sure about bass.

You like carp? Seems like every river around here is chock full of carp.

You should have channel, flathead, and blue catfish. Stripers and sandbass should be in the river along with drum, carp, and crappie.

How wide and deep is it?

What I have seen of the Red River going across the Burkburnett bridge is not very exciting. I am sure there are deeper areas around there, but it appears to be three or four feet deep or less most of the time.

its maybe 20-30 yards wide, doesnt look very deep. but there are only 2 maybe 3 fishable spots along the 1 mile of it that i have. in those spots, deepest is maybe 5 or 6 feet


sensitive isnt crying after a sad movie, its when you can feel a bass nibble on your jig 20 feet down..
