When it is hot a heck outside in the summers like it is now, is there any lure you should not waste your time throwing?

Also, what is your go to summer time lure?

A Carolina Rig becomes my best friend in the heat. I imagine that a dropshop/shakey head would also catch them alright but I never throw my spinning setup lol

For a bass, everything is on the buffet table; some times of day may be better than others.

Deep diving crankbaits, swim jigs, and spoons are probably my "go to" this time of year.

Been catching them between 2' and 20' on just about everything. Seems Texas bass don't follow all the pro's on where their supposed to be this time of year.

Don't forget topwater early and late! Buzzbait, Pop 'R/Chugger, walking bait like a Spook all can produce and be a lot of fun.

Summertime lure.. Drop shot, Carolina rig, shaky head, crank bait. Spoon, Tx. rig, Alabama rig, top water baits, just depends on what lake , the weather and the cover you are fishing. You may need to experiment a lot to see what the fish want best.
