I've always wanted to go to Mexico bass fishing. Can I go by myself? If so how much extra is it. Ive got a 12.12 on the wall. Numbers are cool but I like size. I can fish all day for 2 or 3 bites. Which lake is best for big fish. Or heres my other thought. Im figuring Mexico will cost me 3000 when all is done. Is that about right ? The other idea is to fish with Bass guides in Texas. I could fish Fork,Falcon. Rayburn or Toledo Bend. At 500 a day that's 6 guide trips give or take a little.

So tell me about your first hand knowledge or experiences. And tell me what yall would do . Thanks.

You could fish a couple of those private lakes, I think it's around $1,500 per day at Camelot Bell.

You want catch a 12; but you will have 50 per day over 5 lbs.. We are gone 11 days and drive in. We will fish for 6 days for $1,500 per person. One of the best trips you will ever make. We are going Jan., Feb. and March; if they will let us across the boarder.

The thing that separates Mexico from the rest is the numbers with the anticipation to bring in a 10+. Biggest any of our group has caught was an 11.2 this past February at Comedero. 5-8 is pretty common down there. There is almost zero pressure on those fish. Every time I have been down there the only people on the lake were the camps. Maybe 15 boats between the two (Ron Speeds & Anglers Inn). You have the locals but they are tending nets for Talapia(if the nets are out). Having done both of your examples I would be inclined to pick the latter at this point if it were me trying to decide. Seems to me you have a win/win decision.

Looking for 9-12lb fish, I'd either go to Caddo or Falcon; with Caddo probably more of a challenge

Be careful around Comedero, I fish Picachos with some gentleman from Guadalajara and they are staying out of the Comedero area at present. With that being said if I was hunting multiple big fish it would be Comedero, oh the dilemma, Go with Ron Speed or Anglers in and stay on the property would be my guess.

I would do a combo El Salto - Picachos with Ron Speed

Id like to go to Baccarac some time but I have zero interest in 40 plus fish days can you upsize to 16 inch worms or something and try and narrow that down to some more size less quantity?
