So I have a abu 5600 laying around, Iā€™m wanting to get a light rod for it. Something around 6-6.5ā€™ with a large handle of that makes any sense... anyways any suggestions?

I second the Ugly Stick. I liked the old models, and the new generation seem more sensitive to me, but just as strong.

Good luck - stay safe.

I like the Ugly Stik striper rod. 7ft med hvy. Works great with an Abu reel.

All depends on what you are targeting. If you are targeting larger blues, get one of those white medium heavy ugly sticks. If you are targeting eater size fish , get a medium or medium light action rod. The rods my clients use are the Berkeley CherrywoodHD medium action rods. 22 dollars at Walmart. I use a medium and medium light rod myself that are custom rods built by Stubby.
