 Noise when going to neutral

Noticed a rattle noise when shifting from full throttle forward to neutral. Any ideas?

Are you easing it into neutral or snapping it back?

Decreasing pretty fast. Going from 3/4-1/2 throttle down to 1/4 throttle

Does the noise occur as your actually shifting into neutral?
Don't ease into neutral. Once at the neutral detent, snap it into neutral. Same when shifting to fwd. or reverse. Snap it into gear.

You are taking it out of gear too slowly. As said above, when you have slowed down, pull it hard back to neutral the same way you should move the shifter very quickly from neutral.
If that doesn't do it, you may be able to adjust the linkage. If not that, worn gears.
