Depth offset is for lakemaster map cards 10-4 does it work on base map ? Water level offset only works with HD contours. Depth Offset is an adjustment for the transducer depth, not map related.

I have had so many problems with this unit and have had to send it to Humminbird once already for a fix. Last week I was fishing, using the DI and working fine, then i made a run and when i stopped, the screen was black. Depth was reading fine, but no image. I went out yesterday and played with the settings and got the bottom back, but I am not getting clear images of pilons and brush and such. Can anyone relate, or help me with this problem? I started by resetting to default and got the same results. I had to change surface clutter and sharpness to get the bottom back. I want to be able to see fish, bait, and structure and am loathing sending it back to Humminbird for yet another problem.

Can't see what unit you have from here, how about describing it and how it is installed?

Sorry about that. I have the Helix 10 DI GPS g2n. It was factory installed when I bought the boat. I can provide more detail if needed. Just let me know if you need any other info.

Just bought a boat with a brand new HELIX 5 G2 with down imaging. The owner never used it. It has probably been sitting in the box for 2 years.
Looks perfect for what I need fish finder wise, but no chartplotter / map.
Does Humminbird make one that will hook up to the same cords/input that has a chartplotter or map function? Or would I have to rewire any different unit?
HUGE THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

The 1198 can't process mega frequencies , and the mega 360 connects as a transducer. The 1198 connected to the original 360 through Ethernet. The 1198 is not compatible with hardware or software. Although the mega 360 can ping the 455 khz the 1198 can't process the mega 360 as a tranaducer

What size wire and where is it connected to battery, fuse block, boat harness, boat main fuse panel. What is the voltage alarm set at? What software version, there was a software release that addressed voltage alarm issues

I have the 3.5 update installed and the wiring is ran through the boat main fuse panel. I have a Phoenix boat and the wiring is not easily accessible to run new power cable to the battery. Voltage alarm is set at 10.5 but I have silenced the alarm. My GPS is slow to update sometimes and I thought that low voltage may be a contributor to this.

Also, will the G2 transducer for a Solix work on a G1 Solix? I need to replace one and was thinking about buying the new transducer.
