Why is that a problem?

maybe because the people that would benefit from your bs list, ARE NOT THE PEOPLE THAT STICK A GUN IN YOUR RIBS?

next time you need a cop, call dominoes, you stand a better chance of getting something for your call.

We always take 130 but last weekend my planner said traffic in Austin was not a problem. It was right!
We slowed down a little bit for about 2 miles but traffic never stopped and it was on a Friday, middle of the day.

Those programs aren't a problem, they definitely need to be funded as well. The problem is that moving money into them that was intended for law enforcement does nothing to lower the number of burglaries, assaults, rapes and murders where those law enforcement responders are needed...no one from any of those programs would be able to do anything about investigating and hopefully arresting someone who committed a crime.

I'd say cops don't actually lower the number of burglaries, assaults, rapes, and murders. They respond to them, and mental health/social programs/family violence programs are more likely to lower actual crimes by addressing root causes.

My son sold his house over by White Rock to a couple from California. He was a veterinarian and she was a therapist of some kind. Cash deal, move in as soon as possible, house sold in 3 days for asking price. It’s happening quickly.

The "problem" is that the City Council is sending a message that they don't support the PD, that the woke minority is in control, that they did not think those programs you mentioned were worthy of additional or new funding until it was politically what they think they should do to get their face in front of a camera to talk about how woke they are.

I guess redirecting funding from the Cultural Arts Program, Austin Music Disaster Relief Fund, Austin Creative Space Disaster Relief Program, Film & Digital Media Production Incentive Program, just to name a few wasn't woke enough. Are you still on board?
