I live in Round Rock, where would I go to have my tank drained? I guesstimate I have about 20 gallons of gasoline, +/- 3 or 4 gallons. Contamination in my fuel filter could be from lines which I am replacing, but I am prepping to have to drain tank as well. I could drain to multiple 5 gallon containers and take to disposal but the sites I've read says they limit to 5 gallons, not sure if that's per person or per container.
Thanks

Hand PumpGet you something like this, cut the fuel line, attach the pump, and transfer to your 5 gallon cans. I just pumped out about 13-14 gallons out of mine and it isn't hard just takes a little time.

If the fuel in the tank is not the problem then put it in your truck or car.

you can use the squeeze bulb as a syphon, get some auto fuel line long enough to go to a 5 gal jug, put in jug on ground and squeeze a few times. not the fastest but is the cheapest and works great.
watch the jug as it will overflow if you aren't there to move the line.

Go buy a 12 volt automotive fuel pump. Your hands will cramp up trying to pump 20 gallons of gas through a squeeze bulb.

I used air. I disconnected my fuel line at the separator and stick the hose in a five gallon gas can. I then set my air compressor to 5 psi discharge and held it in the fill and sealed it with a rag. Took about ten minutes to push out 14 gallons. That method also gets the gas out as low as it can be done.

Dump it on your cold burn pile and let it evaporate.

My previous boat sat for over a year in Texas before I could bring it here to Alabama. 42 gal tank. I rigged up a siphon system to the fuel line and would pump out 5 gals at a time. Pour it into my truck when it hit 1/4 full, then topped off the tank with fresh gas. Every tank I added fuel treatment as well. I had no where to dump 42 gals of gas.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Thanks guys. I know how to get the fuel out of the tank. I was wondering what to do with the fuel. Is there a site that accepts old fuel? If the only problem is sizable debris in the fuel (from fuel line - breakdown), you can filter it, then use it in your vehicle, mixing one jug with the rest of a tank of fuel (in case of reasonable age). If the gas is really old, then it's not suitable for most vehicles, so there would be no purpose in filtering it. I set up a large funnel with a pleated coffee filter in it on a fuel jug sitting on the ground. On a table, I set the boat fuel source jug, and used the siphon to slowly drain from that jug into the funnel with the filter. The low flow allowed time to go through the filter. You might need to slightly clamp the siphon hose to regulate the flow rate. The siphon hose will leave a lot of debris in the source tank if you let it sit still. That may be a quart that will need to be tossed/burned. Rinse the jug with a bit of clean fuel several times. The result in my case was fuel with no visible contaminate. If your contaminates are dissolved, obviously this won't work.
