I use it. I like it for the low dose nitrogen.
I live on a lake...donโt like the idea of massive amounts of nitrogen being dumped into pond.

It's a good product. I think the better results are seen in the cooler grasses. Cooler meaning temps. East and north US. The NPK is 6/4/0 - Granted you're in E. TX and I'm not sure about y'alls Phosphorus(middle number) but in most of TX we have plenty of P. So then you have to address the Potassium (last number) issue. Don't worry about the hype of this or that product. Get a soils test done and address your N/P/K needs and micros. Legitimate soil test are cheap $20-30. Not the ones sold at box stores. Actual labs. I'll link some tomorrow.

Easy cost effective system 1. Neil Sperrys preemergent schedule 2. Cut the lawn a little higher than average 3. Irrigate deeply 2X per week instead of lightly/more frequently 4. Fertilize with milorganite or other natural fertilizer once a month March through June and then October, November 5. Grub worm/insect treatment early/mid July

Throwing money at it is the easy part. My wife told me this morning my lawn is getting too expensive and she is going to spray it with round up.

Milorganite
Cant over do it ,, works great if you watered properly. And keep the mower at a higher depth. And peat moss is your friend no matter what your lawn looks like.

Peat moss is excellent stuff for our alkaline soils around here Hope they donโt put a tariff on it.

You want to get the grub/worm treatments down before end of July. That's when they start their reproductive cycle and are most vulnerable to treatments.
