Texas residents 65 years of age and older are required to purchase a fishing license. However, Texas residents born before January 1, 1931 are exempt from the fishing license requirement. Hang in there,...just 10 more years,.... So in 10 more years he will be born before 1931. How does that work. Lol

I didnt think about that, I thought 1931 was a rolling number to give 90 year olds free license.... if it's a hard 1931, and if you werent born before 1931, you will never get a free license,..!!!

They are FREE in Louisiana for seniors, Thank Rick Perry for the fee for us older guy's.
If you go to Louisiana your Texas license is good there so you don't need an out of state one. Louisiana Law states "Texas residents age 65 or older may fish in any Louisiana public waters (both freshwater and saltwater) as long as they possess any type of valid Special Texas Resident license for seniors and comply with Louisiana law. This includes Texas residents born before September 1, 1930." Same for Louisiana, if you are 65 or older and have a valid Louisiana Fishing License, it will be honored in Texas.
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Senior residents of Texas can fish free in Oklahoma and vice versa. Just show them your TX drivers license.
