Time to buy new license. Do you think Texas will ever come around and NOT require seniors to buy a license.
I'm 80 and still have to buy license.

Texas residents 65 years of age and older are required to purchase a fishing license. However, Texas residents born before January 1, 1931 are exempt from the fishing license requirement.

Hang in there,...just 10 more years,.... helpsign

They are FREE in Louisiana for seniors, Thank Rick Perry for the fee for us older guy's.

If you go to Louisiana your Texas license is good there so you don't need an out of state one.

at least Tx. puts all the money back into outdoor stuff (so they say).

some other states it goes into the general fund to pay for stuff not related to the outdoors.

State parks are $2.00 day for seniors and a freshwater license is $12.00. Hardly a burden.

Louisiana Law states "Texas residents age 65 or older may fish in any Louisiana public waters (both freshwater and saltwater) as long as they possess any type of valid Special Texas Resident license for seniors and comply with Louisiana law. This includes Texas residents born before September 1, 1930."

Same for Louisiana, if you are 65 or older and have a valid Louisiana Fishing License, it will be honored in Texas.

Senior residents of Texas can fish free in Oklahoma and vice versa. Just show them your TX drivers license.
