Mercury Quicksilver synthetic blend 2-cycle DFI outboard motor oil.

Does it have a shelf life? There's no expiration date on the jug but I don't want to be using it if, after sitting several years on a tool shed shelf, it goes "bad" in some way.

?

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

5 years in original unopened container. Should be a code on the jug that can be decoded to get a date.
