That’s cute-Hook one of these bad mama jamas (Pulls like a Redfish/ jumps like a Bass) and you’ll forget about fiddling with those little sunfish... Big snook is on the bucket list.

Bull reds in brackish water just off shore on medium heavy spinning gear would be my choice. They are insanely aggressive and never give up. The limiting factor is how long your forearms hold up before you tear something. LMB are great because the big ones are very smart and a 95+% of the time are a great challenge to fool with artificial lures.

the thing about saltwater fish is that they taste good and you don't mind keeping a few or more. freshwater not so much.

I don't know about that ...... Tarpon fishing in the Keys is definitely right up there. hangin a 200# tarpon on 20# line with a 7' rod will work ya out, it is only IF you can get it to the boat. east coast of costa rica rocks for tarpon.
