I am looking to add a 5 inch jack plate to my 98 Astro 2000DC 2 stroke 200 HP Merc. Does anyone know if I will need to get longer steering, linkage, and throttle cables? The throttle and linkage feel like there is enough play, but the steering cables feel very tight. Or if someone could direct me where to go for the answer. Thanks for a reply.

up to 6" should be fine with cables, more and you have to have more length.

rapid jack is the best on the market for a manual.

Thanks Hopalong, I did get it done last weekend. No issues with the cables.
