With MLFLW constantly changing the rules every single week, I am not surprised by any of this.

Alton Jones got DQ'd when he had Jr. fishing with him in practice. But I don't remember what trail it was. This happened years ago when Jr. was still a kid if I remember right. It was BASS - Santee Cooper - the son was driving the boat during practice while Alton was on the front deck looking for bedding fish.

Alton Jones got DQ'd when he had Jr. fishing with him in practice. But I don't remember what trail it was. This happened years ago when Jr. was still a kid if I remember right. It was BASS - Santee Cooper - the son was driving the boat during practice while Alton was on the front deck looking for bedding fish. I believe that was KVD...not alton jones.......

Anyone else find the article about KVD being disqualified referenced the event "Santee-Cooper Showdown Presented by MotorGuide " and had KVD's MotorGuide not quit working he probably wouldn't have been DQ

I remember this. I think there were 4-5 guys total that got DQ’d all committing the same rule infraction.

I remember this. I think there were 4-5 guys total that got DQ’d all committing the same rule infraction. I think someone got DQ'd for fishing an off limits area, or too close to a marina as well. But that may have been a different tourney.
