Was wondering if there are any guides that fish texoma regualry that might have an idea on how long untill we can start pulling out the artifical baits (top water) and catch good quality fish, i have been going up every weekend for the last few weeks and finally i (found) caught me some shad, and we ended up with some nice keeps near the dam, but have tried slabs, pencil poppers, chug bugs and can only catch real small one's (10-12in.) early in the mornings when there breaking top water, if you could help me out i would appreciate it, thnx

any day now.the spawn is pretty much over and they are hungry.lures are hit and miss and bait is the way to go.it hurts me to say that but check last few days post's.fishing is great on shad and topwater has been hit & miss as well.slab's not far away...let the fry get a little bigger and open water schooling will start.

Great question Hayden.. Been thinking the same thing. What a wealth of information on these forums.. I hope to see you out there...

Are the Stripers off the Flats now? Reason I ask is 3 weeks ago I went out there and you couldn't put another boat around the flats near 377 bridge.
