Monsoor was pretty crafty at day 3 and 4 weigh ins. Day 3 they had Zack Birge leading on paper until the weigh in where he ended up in 1st place. On day 4 the leaderboard showed Jacob leading by a pound but at the weigh in Tom beat him by over a pound. Crafty old Tom was under reporting his weight on purpose.
But at his age how many more chances are you going to get to win $125,000?
Did you see him on camera. He wanted to give up all his secret baits probably because it was for his sponsors and how many times does he get on camera in front of a really big audience.
Go for it old man!

Tom was really delighted with his win . Sure was good to watch the old man get it done on his home waters .

Clunn has always been my hero. We are the same age. When I moved to Conroe tin 1980 he 1st dsy I was there Rick and Randy Fite were eating hamburgers at MsDonalds. I was star struck. Clunn for the win. Both fishermen were class acts.

Don't see how these 2 compare. No doubt Monsoor is a great tournament fisherman, but Clunn is a legend. I don't think Monsoor ever dominated like Clunn did.

Both impressive. Clunn edges out in the "more impressive" category since he didn't do it on home waters. Monsoor had the home field advantage.
Both Impressive.

Just goes to show...don't count us "olds" out just yet...:) You youngsters will be there some day...:)
Clunn kinda bugs me....he's too cerebral when he's talking...kind makes me think he's too impressed with himself doesn't seem like somebody I'd have a beer with. But then again he might be the nicest guy in the world and just comes across the wrong way for some people.

I had a conversation with one of his observers at one of the Elite events in Texas, and your about spot on, grumpy.
