Remember the UH-! "Huey's" from Viet Nam? As a pilot you never forget. It also saved many lives.

If I never ride on another one of those it will be too soon. That sound brings back lots of memories, and most of them are bad.

I also put in a bunch of hours in a "bubble". I was the NCOIC of a fire direction control unit with a howitizer battery. We lost our 1st Lt. and he went out every afternoon on a bubble to look for possible locations where Charlie and/or the NVA might spend the night so we could harass them with our guns all night long. I had to fill his slot. We frequently would take small arms fire and I was always worried that the pilot would get shot. Fortunately, he never did and I got back alive everyday for about a month until we got another OIC.

Family is everything!

Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

I saw one at our local airport last week. It's a big helicopter compared to what I'm used to seeing around here.

Was it the first jet turbine helicopter?

Here is one at a VFW in central Tx.

Sometimes what didn't work out for you, did in fact, work out for you.

Haters going to hate and believers are going to believe.
