BASS FISHING TEAM TOURNAMENT. (Rules update)

Fishing lake lewisville has paired with Joes bait and tackle for a bass tournament August 8th, 2020.

Team tournament: $40 entry per boat.(1-2 people)
100% payout, if 40 teams sign up guaranteed $1000 for 1st place.

To register for the tournament you need to go to Joe's bait shop in Lake Dallas. With day of registry 5% entire purchase added on at check out.

Rules

1. No guides

2. Must be a member or Fishing Lake Lewisville

3. 3 Fish weigh-in, 14in legal limit on large mouth bass and no minimum length for Guadalupe or spotted bass.
Bass under legal size will result in a 1-lbs penalty applied against the total weigh of the team.

4.All teams must pre-register
Late Registry the morning of August 8th is from 5-6:30AM at Joes Bait Shop an additional $10 fee will be added for late registration.

5. Trailering Event

6. Fishing begins at 7am

7. Must have a ribbon tide onto trolling motor so tournament officials can see while observing the tournament.

8. Tournament boats must maintain a 50ft rule from all other boats.

9. All boats must be checked in by 3pm at weigh-in location.

10. Weigh-in location will be announced in a few days.

11. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification without a refund.

12. Working live well is mandatory.

13. Artificial lures only, no live or prepared bait is allowed.

14. Pre-fishing is allowed up until the day prior at 7 am (no fishing within 24 hours before start of tournament)

15. All federal and provisional boat regulations must be adhered to,

16. Only large mouth bass and spotted bass will be weighed in.

17. It Is discretion of Fishing Lake Lewisville Admin and Joes bait shop to postpone this event due to the adverse weather. In the event of cancellation the entry fees will be refunded or the tournament will be moved to another day.

18. In the event of a tie, for any position the cash prizes for that position and the next position will be added together and distributed equally among the tied teams.

19. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be consumed or in possession of any competitor or boat during the tournament hours from 6:30AM-3PM.

20. Decisions of the tournament officials (fishing lake lewisville admin and joes bait shop) are final. Protest will be allowed up to 15 minutes after the last team is weight in.

21. Competitors may obtain fuel and/or repairs from marinas.

22. Any team disqualified for any reason will not receive a refund of entry fees.

23. All taxes on any prize awards are the responsibility of the recipient.

24. If in the opinion of Tournament officials any fish that is judged not likely to survive will be deemed a dead fish and a .50 lb. penalty will be applied. A dead fish is not eligible for big fish prize.

25. Personal flotation devises must be worn at all times the combustion engine is running and kill switch must be attached to the boater.

26. It is the responsibility of the participants to bring fish up to the weigh-in from the boat, weight bags will be available. If you have any please bring with you.

27. All boats must check-in by 3pm. A 5lbs penalty will be applied against any team that does not check-in within the allotted time. A late penalty of .5lbs per minute will be applied to any team checking-in after 3PM. If an emergency situations arises please notify officials by phone.

28. If you have any questions on the rules be sure to clarify with the organizers prior to first cast at 7am.

What does rule 2 mean?

They want participants to join the Fishing Lake Lewisville facebook page - I talked to Daniel and he said they wouldn't turn someone away if they weren't!

They should move the time to 6-2pm. Gonna be losing a good morning bite starting at 7.
