Will a bass come from to hit a top water?

Can you fish a 10-20 foot deep hump with a top water and call them up
during the summer?

In gin clear water? Yes. But you better be a mile away when you make that cast. In clean water for smallies and spotted bass? Yes. In any sort of stained water? No.

If you can't find em wind em.

Just like all other pieces of structure. You will have to fish a bunch of them to find the right one with bait and bass suspended on and around it. Deep water walls is another area that they will come up from the depths to take top water. Most of the time the deep water humps will have other species also working the bait fish and it becomes very difficult to get past the whites and stripped bass in order to catch a black bass. Never pass up the opportunity to try; because you never know.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

I remember them coming up from boulders on points on gin clear Tablerock in the summer maybe 40 feet to a Zara. You could see them flash when they made their move. The trick was not to set the hook before they got there.

This^^^ Have spent a lot of my life fishing Tablerock. And yes, I have seen them come up from ledges in 40' to 60' of water to hit a Zara Spook.
