Hi all,
I'll be visiting Medina Lake for the first time and I am looking for recommendations for offshore bass fishing spots/catfish fishing spots. Any coves, piers, nooks and crannies, etc.
Also, is there a bait shop anywhere near Medina Lake that sells live bait? All recs much appreciated.
Thank you!

I live nearby and haven't been there in years. Not sure but I think last I looked, it's kinda pricey to launch so carry some cash.

The lake is low and getting lower by the day. With that being said there are still areas with 70+ feet of water. Launch fees are as much as $20. I've been launching at Red Cove, it's still in good shape. I've lost track on when/if the the Bandera County Park is open. As far as I know there are no bait shops still open in the area. Fishing has been slow for me as of late. Deep water points and sumerged timber are what I have been targeting for bass when you can avoid the recreational boating crowd. Week days are best.

Launched yesterday at Red's Cove.. Yep.. $20..
Ramp is fine.. West side best.. Plenty of water in lake.. Water clarity is excellent and you can see your crankbait about five feet deep.
Fished a lot of places I have fished for years.. All I can say is it was tough. Caught a couple on steep sloping points.. 45 degree or so.. W/M red trick worm.. Spiked the tail chart. Tried several other small plastics with no luck.
Caught one fish on a sexy shad 1.5 squarebill in five feet of water..
Three fish.. But.. Two were keepers!
There will de some recreational boaters out there..
Pretty tough..
