Ethan and I take a trip up to the lake where I learned how to fish many years ago and well... I think it's safe to say that this hidden, little lake HATES me... Just sayin'!

I think everyone has a hard luck lake. Mine is Monticello lake in East Texas.

I think everyone has a hard luck lake. Mine is Monticello lake in East Texas. Try fishing Placid in February!

Can you even still fish that place? Thought it closed so I never worried about going. Yep, it was closed the last time I was by there. They shutdown the power plant and opened the gates on the dam, dropped the water level about 3'. My hate me lake in Brandy Branch (Pirkey). I either do extremely well or can't hardly catch a fish, feast or famine.
