Anyone have any experience with KI Kayaks. 2020 10 ft Pedal drive under $900. Are they cheaply made or just a real good deal from a less known company?

Looks like they have been selling them for about a year or so. There is no way in the world I would buy a 10' yak but I am 6' 7" 250 lbs. so your mileage may vary. Kayak Instruction is a great company to deal with though but I know nothing about the KI Yaks. I bought my Jackson Kayaks Big Tuna from them years ago.

They've been selling them for several years. The owner is a good guy. I don't have any experience with them but I have talked to the owner about them a couple of years ago. He told me they are made in the same area as Vibe kayaks are (overseas) which is also where other kayaks like Brooklyn, Hoodoo, Kaku, Liberty Outdoors, Riot and others are made. He was confident in the kayak itself but wasn't sure about the quality of the drive. Again that was a couple of years ago. Give him a call. He will answer any questions you have and I believe can do a demo if he has any in stock.
You get out of it what you put into it!

really nice guy.....
my brother bought a 10ft for his son for $400 and it is a good boat...comparable to a Vibe just without some of the extras. I believe they're made in China.
No idea on the quality of the drive

Did you get the pedal drives? If so, how have they been? $825 is a great price for a pedal drive kayak, but seems to good to be true.

Great people. I wanted to upgrade my first yak many years ago, and they let me paddle a few models before I decided on the one to buy.

The pedal drive is belt driven. Belt would slip under heavy peddling.
Save your money just my .02

Save your money just my .02 Thanks for chiming in. I’ve been wondering how these stand up against the pedal drives out there in the $1300-$1500 range...and didn’t know there was more than on type of power transmission.
