Wind is howling at 37 mph and supposed to peak at 5am around 48. It is raining some but still not what I would call hard. I’ve lost some shingles (this isn’t the first storm to take some) and my grill shack blew over onto the truck.

Unless all that stuff to the east of me swings around to the west I doubt the lake will go up any. All that rain around Matamoros goes straight into the river and downstream. Won’t help a bit.

And my lights are flickering. Makes it hard to sleep with a CPAP.

Power is out at 7:08 am.

Winds out of the east now supposedly at 30 mph but gusting much harder.

I have power. Power is nice. Just got done with some chores. It’s nice and cool in here.

Power came on around 3:30. Had a couple rounds of rain come through.

It’s the government’s housing on the dam end of the lake. I lost shingles earlier this year but it didn’t leak so they didn’t care. It’s leaking now so I’m gonna have to push it. Every house out here has some shingles missing I think.

Still raining and my power just went out again. The storm itself is done as far as the wind I think. Hopefully these red bands of rain continue their counter clockwise rotation and head up around Laredo.
