I have followed recipes online and experimented a bunch. 99% of everything I make sinks. Any ideas? I would prefer to not have to use cork balls. I have tried microwaving, boiling, and in the oven. My ratios must be off or something as the stuff I make is not buoyant at all. Thanks in advance.

I did not catch anything this morning with these...

Peruvian Corn Nuts

I drilled a baiting hole with a dremel, and used a piece of craft foam as a stop. Floats really well. I guess lots cheaper if you buy them at Trader Joe's.

Not sure. Try microwaving them for longer. Or just buy some mainline pop ups. Hook baits are cheap enough that I don’t mind buying them. You can always make the boilies for baiting and buy the hook baits.

I use a range cube base, so mine always sink. The fish don’t seem to mind picking them up off the bottom.

Traders Joe's toasted corn has caught me a bunch of carp, especially the chilli lime flavor in cooler water. I use 2-3 of them on the hair, with a single fake popup corn to keep them on properly. Only thing is that they tend to get waterlogged and stop floating after an hour or so.

Tough to tell without a recipe, mine are microwaved and dried until rock hard, I then predrilled them. Made a batch over 5 years ago, they are still holding up fine, and catching decent carp as well smile

I often use simple chunk of yellow or black hard foam in between 2 corn pieces or 2 chickpeas on a hair.
Floats 100%. I cut them off meat trays from grocery store smile
For some reason, i'm making some efforts to give it a shape of corn or nut.
Have no idea why am I doing it roflmao

Microwaving boilies to make popups has never worked for me. Try mixing some cork dust into your boilie dough, the more you put in the more buoyant they'll be

Catch and release. The dream - to catch one of every species of Freshwater fish in our great state! If only I can resist Carp...
