I tried out a makeshift livescope perspective last weekend with mixed results. The image seemed to be really dependant on the down angle and water depth. I spent a lot of time pulling the transducer up and adjusting it. It seemed to me that being able to adjust that downward angle on the fly could be real useful.
This weekend I cooked up a articulated mount that uses bicycle shifting cables to move the transducer with the controls on the boat. I cut the parts out of leftover HDPE from my bait tank. I have not tried it out yet but it seems pretty sturdy. I will need to mark the controls so I can adjust it without being able to see the transducer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wow, that’s very ingenious.

I have a suggestion. Mass produce that puppy! I've seen TONS of perspective mounts and none come close to this! If you don't mass produce it, how about producing just 2 because I want to know how I can go about buying one? Let me know please!

Hi Boomerbrewer! I can't believe I came across your post on here. I saw your YouTube video about your mount and wanted more info. Great design with the cables!! Imagine it made hands free with a foot control mounted on the deck of a bass boat. I just ordered the livescope unit a few days ago and have been researching mounting options ever since. Yours is BY FAR the best.

So far it has held up well and I do like adjusting the angle in perspective mode. I find it valuable even in deeper water when the fish are suspended.

I put the files on google drive. They are 2d dfx format. Not all the parts in the DXF are needed, depends on the design of the pole. some of the parts require pocketing around .3 inches (material is .5). Ill try and get some assembly pictures also.

I'm going to buy a Garmin Livescope, I really like your mount. I'll check it out in detail later.

Very nice design. Do you cnc cut your own parts for this mount, or send the dxf file to a cutting service? I just started setting up a livescope and have collected trolling motor parts, shaft and transom mount bracket, for a swim platform mount using a weaver davit base for quick removal.

Couldn’t those plastic pieces be made in a 3D printer ? I know next to nothing about this, but it looks like that works well and could be a really lucrative side business as well as a service to your fellow fishermen. Kudos to you for your ingenuity !
