I spent last year doing construction management. I had several jobs in Miami, Iowa and in California. Fishing in Miami was awesome. Lots of canals available to bank fish and of course all the great exotics. Iowa was good as well to catch some bluegill and trout.

California was just the opposite. I didn't even buy a license to fish. The license was 3 times more than Florida or Iowa, you have to pay to get in everywhere, very little bank fishing space, etc. etc. The only thing that I could find to peak my interest were the canals. But when I drove around and looked at them I was disappointed as well. Keep searching google, maybe you'll find a honey hole. Good luck.

How far is Lake Havasu from you? There is some bank fishing at Lake Havasu City.

Thanks Laker! I have a friend trying to put me on fish with no success. He has a lot of places but a lot of people fish those spots.
