All my family lives in or around Lubbock. Last weekend my brother, his daughter and her husband came to Alabama for a visit. I took them out fishing on the Tn River. My brother said, "Now, I know why you don't want to move back". Left that place 23 years ago.
He is truly a sick individual.

All true. Positively dreadful place. Catch up on sleep gets my vote.

I didn't think Lubbock was that bad to be honest. The real sweet cities in west Texas are Midland / Odessa & all time favorite El Paso.

Keep telling your wife that you bet multiple people on here a $100 bucks each that Lubbock is going to be one of the prettiest cities in Texas that you have been in a long time. This way if you start to breakdown and cry that you are losing another child to the real world, you can tell here you are crying over all the bets you lost because Lubbock is a s-hole.

Ok, I cringe at the probable responses coming, but I need ideas on a few things to do in Lubbock. I will be with the wifey so no fishing, golfing and.....um.....well.......that. Moving son out there end of next month and will need to kill a few hours here and there. No major excursions of any distance, stuff in town. We are leaving there and heading to Carlsbad and the caverns, and working our way back seeing a few other sites. Lubbock: "I was masking, when masking wasn't cool". Enjoy the Lubbock trade winds.

Lubbock Lights? Oh, that's right; that was in the late 60s.
