What are the rules in Missouri concerning guns. Anyone know?
A different question but if you pulled your gun and pointed it in Texas at a crowd, could you get arrested for it?
In Texas, yes that is assault. I am not a lawyer, but if someone comes on my private property to threaten me and my wife by clacking magazines together and telling us that "you are next"; yeah they could very easily be staring down the barrel of a variety of weapons. Also, it only takes ONE sane juror in their trial and there is no conviction.

Two idiots. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever want to be seen in those pictures. I could never look my kids or grand kids in the face again. Stay in your safe zone or basement with your slingshot hot rod. Let the real men of America handle the real problems.

From what I read the protesters either broke through a gate on that street or it was open. Two articles said they were headed to the mayors house.
They were on the sidewalk walking by when the couple came out and started pointing their guns at the protesters. Mr said the protesters would have entered his house if they had not had guns although there is nothing to show where the protesters got off the sidewalk. The wife walked out in the front yard pointing her handgun at several people walking by. Another neighbor of theirs has a lawsuit against the couple for pointing a gun at them, saying the neighbor was on their property.
A letter from an adjoining street had dozens of signatures condemning the action of the two who drew guns.
I think in Texas you have to show you had a realistic fear of harm. I don't know if this would have qualified, pointing guns at people walking by your house.

Links for your liberal hypothesis?? Neighbors with pending charges?? Letters from said neighbors?? Did you not view what went on months before this AND during the same night?? Police were nowhere to be found!! Police were not answering calls that night. Yes They broke down a gate to get in to the gated community. Good gosh What is it with you to liberals? You better get a clue and fast of what’s going on in this nation. You can look up the Texas laws online and the Missouri laws online to see if the homeowners broke any.

The protestors were on private property after breaking down or through a gate. It was a private neighborhood.

In Texas the sidewalk is considered public right of way. I don't know about that neighborhood. Plus in Texas, just simple trespass does not allow the property owner a right to draw his weapon. I don't know what Castle or gun rights in Missouri are so I can't claim they were wrong or right.
Add in that it was numerous people going by which would be more threatening to me than a single person or couple walking by.

Diatribe much. If you don’t know, and you do have some “I don’t knows” above, then why even post this? Get yourself online and look up the laws bud. It’s real simple. As a LTC carrier, I have to know the laws.

A news reporter said when he went by the gate was open. I drew no conclusion, you did. Proof? Instead of blanketing your post with hate stuff bring forth what you know. I can post the article about the lawsuit but they mention it in this video, plus the letter from the neighbors. I don't own a gun but I have read several sources saying simple trespass in Texas does not give you the right to pull your pistol. I have not heard anyone say what the laws in Missouri are. Show me where I'm wrong.

Protesters broke through a gate to private property. This wasn't a public sidewalk.

i guess some think they opened the gate and invited them in. That is rioting, not protesting.

You don’t own a gun, you’ve probably never been to the range, so therefore you know nothing of what you talk about sir. And hate stuff? Are you kidding me? Are your feelings that so sensitive that I ask questions and your feelings get hurt? Good gosh. Proof I don’t have to offer you proof there’s plenty out there on this couple that were defending their domicile.

Been to range. Shot guns. Have folks in the family in law enforcement. I read the laws.
I think I have more knowledge than some who own guns which is scary to me. In Texas, the laws I know, if someone comes on your land you should probably call the police rather than draw your gun. I do know that.
About the Mo case, I understand their fear but objectively looking, the wife who knew nothing about guns or gun laws not only pointed a gun, she walked halfway across her yard and pointed it at people who were on the sidewalk. I would like to know if taken out of the political arena, do they really think its ok to point guns at people who are walking on the sidewalk. That sounds scary to me.

Agreed with Allison 1 and I think book em for 4 yrs maybe they can read on gun laws while there in there It won't get to that point, in any case. The governor has said he may consider pardoning them if they are convicted, the state AG wrote a brief to try to get the case dismissed and a bunch of legislators wrote a letter to the president. The local prosecutor said they would go through a process that would not even require a trial. Their attorney said the gun the wife had been pointing was inoperable when she pointed it at the protesters. So question. How would you feel if you were protesting and someone pointed a gun at you. Without knowing the extent of damages to surrounding properties I don't know if the homeowners had reason to believe their property was in any danger.
