if you haven't bought the breaker yet get the motor guide at academy, it has a manual trip/reset, you can trip it when charging to keep any spikes from the tm.

ended getting the minn kota one from scheels. Got it installed and rechecked all the connections. Finally tested it out Saturday morning in the wind and it didn't trip once all day. Lesson learned, don't buy the cheap circuit breaker on Amazon. Lol

I seriously doubt Minn Kota makes what they sell, but it is a quality item. It's most likely made by Blue-Sea, a division of Bussman. If you need to order one in the future, those two names are the leaders and will offer the same quality as the Minn Kota item, often at a bit less coin. The chi-com knock-offs are a different matter.
