Fished Fayette today with friend Lloyd from daybreak until 2:30. Water temp was 90-92 degrees & full pool. We fished with Gulp Alives all day and released all fish. Ended up with 5 bass (all small except for one in photo) , around 25 Rios ( 4 went right at 10 inches) & around 150 sunfish of various varieties. We had planned to fish until 2:00, but "stumbled" upon a spot that held so many BIG ones that we pushed the leave time back until 2:30. When we left the lake it was 100 degrees outside & hit 109 on the truck temp guage on the way home. Like last week the wind blew hard until right around noon, then eased up. Caught fish in mainly 5 different areas including trees, reeds & under water rock piles. Super fun day ! [Linked Image]

Curtis...No...I don't think so...On Fayette they remain shallow all summer...until late October when they totally go invisible...

Nice fish. Good job guys.

Vogey: Love those Fayette timbers. Back in the day I have pulled out some big bass out of those timbers.

Great post as always. Glad to hear they are continuing to be caught around the reeds.

I've never caught a Rio on Fayette. I guess I'll have to take a special trip to the discharge and give it a try one day.

Jamie...The Rios are concentrated along the deeper water rocks that come out from the intake channel. That is the only place I have caught Rios on this lake.
SK...You are right about that ! Just wish we had found this spot earlier in the day....but next week...look out big girls...we are commin for ya......
