Just like the title, anybody know what the Accessory (ACC) switch is for? There's separate switched for everything so I thought maybe it was for the 12v chargers, but those come on with the master switch like everything else so I have no idea. None of my manuals talk about it either.
Also, there's a red light above the horn button that none of the manuals talk about either. It's come on a couple times when we've started to slow and/or with our trim too low but when we back off the throttle it goes off. So I think it's an exhaust or vent indicator of some kind but not sure. Definitely not an engine warning light because there's a separate alert for that. Any ideas what the light might be for? Thanks! Photo should be attached.

You might consider mentioning what boat brand, year, model, and the same for the power. Outboard or something else?
The red light is probably to tell you the automatic bilge pump is running. You're making water in the bilge move the rear with the trim angle, where it gets deep enough to trigger the (probable) auto-mode bilge pump to turn on. It's typical for a boat to have a manual over-ride to force the pump to come on if the float mechanism is stuck or not working for some other reason.
If the bilge switch seems to have 3 positions, then center is off, manual is usually down, and auto is up. The red light will probably come one any time the pump is running. Don't leave it in manual - you'll burn up the pump motor and/or run down the battery.
If the bilge pump switch is 2 position, you may have a wired auto mode, or just a manual bilge pump (where down is off, and up is on). Read your manual. Try that switch with the battery switch and main power turned on. You should see the lamp turn on.
"Accessory" is an add on item. You may or may not have something added on. Lay down and look under the dash at the back of the Acc. switch. It will have a wire on one terminal for power. If the other terminal has no wire, then you have no accessory (yet).

One of your “accessory’s”? Honestly my Ranger has several. Mine all run something(an accessory). If everything on your boat works and nothing happens when you turn on that accessory button then your boat didn’t come with that accessory! Honestly some boats come with extra power buttons to give you options to run stuff that is not factory supplied options.

Heck i have 3 blank switches on mine. I know one is for wash down pump which i dont have. Not sure about others. At least you have a manual. Stupid Cajun i bought boat from did not believe in them.

Not sure what boat you have, try putting your running lights in place then turn on accessory switch on. I had a boat at one time which had this type of system to turn on the running lights.

Went out and checked my current boat it also has the acc switch, checked out the bow and it has what looks like the old cigret lighter port bet it powers that up. As you can tell I never use it.
