Thanks strangetamer90, SK, and JCG57 for the replies!  Strangtamer90: This was the first time I ever caught a Rainbow Trout in April fishing in Texas! There are spots close to where I live where you can catch trout all year around. I just might try a couple this upcoming summer! JCG57: Yes Sir baked trout are hard to beat!

"Holy Cow"! Not just one but three trophy Rainbow Trout caught in the last week of April! Nice fish. Good job guys. Also congratulations on the records.  Side Note: Is the closest time to the summer months that you have caught a Rainbow Trout?

Thanks Curtis for the reply! I lived many many years ago in Washington State and caught Rainbow Trout year around. There was a lake close to where I lived and I fished it a lot growing up! As for catching trout in Texas this has been closest to summer months.  I just might try to catch a trout during the summer months on the Guadalupe!

Side Note: How many Rainbow Trout have you caught in Texas during the spring,summer,and fall? Thanks Gitter for the reply. I have caught a few in March off of the Blanco River a couple of years ago but never in April. That was the first Rainbow Trout I caught in Texas during April. Late April at that!

Sunny K. in Jagg's video (One River, Two Stories) has caught a Rainbow Trout in July on the Guadalupe River. "What a Catch"! That is the first Rainbow Trout I have seen caught in Texas during the summer! Just goes to prove that trout live year around in Texas!
