On AZ-Utah border. Bank fishing very early for a coupla days this past week. 4th time there, and I REALLY hated leaving this last trip...caught smallmouths...mostly Topwater...

they got everything in there! largemouth, smallies, stripers, hybrids, walleye, etc!

coupla years ago i hired a guide cuz i aint dragging my boat 1000mi there and 1000mi back, lol
omg, when you're on the water it is just incredible! gonna try to post a pic from the guide's boat.

if you decide to bank fish, drive to the antelope public ramp. park around there. hike down to the left from the parking lot. or just hike down ramp and fish to the right, going around the corner. eventually you'll see the big antelope marina with huge houseboats. the fishing is really fantastic!

The scenery is spectacular. I used to fish it a lot when I live in Salt Lake City. Haven’t been back in 15 years. It’s a long haul from here. I need to go back though.

Couple years ago I was going to rent a houseboat on Powell. Last minute we ended up renting a 5 bed room houseboat on Lake Ouachita for 8 days. Towed my bass boat behind us the entire time. Absolute great vacation. Powell is still on my bucket list!

one of the cos. I guided for did the colorado to powell, we met a 30' john boat style with a drop front to load gear. about an hr. to bullfrog from pickup point and always liked to get to sit back and watch the scenery.
never got to fish it tho.

well, i was traveling to bend, oregon, then ventura, then powell. but a piece of my heart is always in bastrop. that topwater bite is stunning!
