You spend a lot of money on your trolling motor, why not protect it? Some people don't think about the overhang issues until something happens and damages their expensive trolling motor or worse, the force of the collision with the motor causes damage to the boat. No matter how careful you are, accidents can happen!

If your trolling motor's OVERHANG is something you'd like to solve, think about ShuttleSlide's RETRACTABLE trolling motor mount with a built in quick release (quick release is standard on all models). It's not just a regular trolling motor mount, it slides your motor inboard, past the rub rail & helps protect it from outside interference (bow rollers when loading/unloading, docks, other vessels, guide poles, obstacles in the water).

Veteran owned and parts proudly made in the USA with a lifetime warranty - built to last! All hardware and brackets are stainless steel and metal plates made out of 6061-T6 aluminum and no "metal on metal" friction or pinch hazards (leaves a small footprint on your deck).

Standard lengths are 7" and 9", but custom lengths are available. We sell the HD and UHD models "by the inch". Some people need more retraction to avoid a cleat or other fixture on the boat.

We also sell adapter plates that are designed to reuse the existing hole pattern you already have on your deck, so no new holes in your boat.

Several models to choose to from. Let me know what type of trolling motor you have and we can recommend a mount. If you call, a technician can speak to you about your boat's configuration and mounting challenges. www.shuttleslide.com/shop

These look pretty good. But my only concern is having them lock in place. I watched a video and don't see how they lock in place.

There are 4 small brake adjustment screws (2 on each end). You tighten the screws to give you the "grip"/tension you want. As you tightened the screws, they will compress the center bearing, making the sliding bracket stop moving. The more you tighten, the more "grip" there will be on those brackets. The slot in the center bearing as been engineered to precisely fit the sliding bracket. In other words, there is no wiggle room between the two. Additionally, each end of the mount has a travel stop. The motor does not move around unless you push it (and something, like a dock, hits it).

Thank you for the link Dognot. That's quite a long post! And thanks for the purchase Jessa. I hope you are still happy with the mount. Let us know if you need anything else.

I've also added another picture. This customer had mounting issues because of the boat's bow slope. Our adapter plates helped him get his motor closer to the rub rail. It gave him more "reach".

I have one on my 80# terrova riptide- my main goal was that I needed more reach for the TM to function properly. I now have the reach and when the TM is not in use it does slide/ retract back to where it is protected while the boat is docked.

So do you have to pull out a screwdriver every time you want to slide the trolling motor?

Hi Toofy - no tools are needed to move the trolling motor back and forth OR to remove the trolling motor off the mount (quick release). There is no pin to pull or knob to turn. The motor is retracted back and pushed forward with just your hands. It will not move unless you push/pull it. Once you set the brake screws to the "grip" you want, you leave it. You don't need to adjust the screws every time you take the boat out. If you go to YouTube and look up ShuttleSlide, we have a few videos showing the mount and how the trolling motor will move.

ShuttleSlide is perfect for me. I was concerned about my Terrova sticking out so far when stowed. Ordered a ShuttleSlide and a trial fit shows it will do exactly as advertised. Just need a little time to install

Had to call today. I don't want to drill any more holes in my boat, so I ordered a DPA-1. Hope it gets here quick, My birthday is next Wednesday and I want to go fishing!
