People will watch, the kung flu will pass. Good for him. If a man can get paid a number like that he should take every dollar.

The next 4 years are something like 103 million only. So he should be surrounded by good players for a while, after that...

Yes and not many QB's see 10 full years. If he meets all incentive clauses the Chiefs will be the biggest NFL dynasty from 2020 - 2030. $140+mill injury clause. Very smart on his agents part to bump that figure up. He's young and mobile now but even he did not make it through a full 16 game season.

Yep, and the salary cap will be going up in a year or so. It will probably get restructured someday.

This does affect the Watson and Prescott negotiations some.

Anyone saying Dak is no good is ignorant. Does he have flaws? Yes. Several glaring. Is he a top 5 in the league? No, but he is top 10 but closer to 10 than to 6. I could see some saying he is between 10 and 15. His biggest failing I see is being able to put the team on his back but those QB's are rare.

I look for Deshaun Watson and Dak to get around $37M/year.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

And when that happens then Zeke will get unhappy because he's only making like $15 million/year and will want to renegotiate. There just won't be enough to go around to build a real team. Jerry will have to pay $500 thousand to 45 guys named Herb to put a Cowboys "team" on the field. Every team will be in the same boat. With a 53 man roster I just don't understand how one guy should get 25% of the salary available. And every team will have at least several guys who want that kind of money too.

Not too many think that Dak is no good, he is very adequate if he has 6 or 7 pro bowlers around him, hard to keep those guys when the QB demands 20 % of the cap, those QB's that are rare can carry a team, there are only a handful of them in the NFL, Dak aint one of them.

Likely to never see a bunch of it If skills deteriorate. From what I read it’s a team decision every year past year 2.

Zeke is more important than Dak right now

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Been in my truck most of the day and they had a ton of league folks on NFL Radio today. Most seem to think the deal length and money is a one off deal and probably will not impact other QB deals that are pending. They all seemed to agree not many teams or players would even chase such a deal.
