I'm assuming you have a boat. If you go past rattlesnake point beyond the Redfish bay lodges there is a cut that splits copano bay and Port Bay at the junction there is an old platform stay close to the left side of it since the water can get shallow on the other side. You can fish the flats on the right of the platform where there is some mixed grass and sand or you can go beyond the platform into Port Bay. There are reds scattered all through that bay most of the year, but if you stick to the right hand shoreline you will see a point that sticks out and a little island, if you can get your boat between that island and the point (quietly usually poling or drifting in) there are usually some nice reds in there as well. You can also fish in Swan lake. If you don't have a boat then the next best place for reds would probably be Little Bay. Before they blocked off the the fishing at rattlesnake point from shore I used to go there and catch a lot of trout and reds. As for baits I prefer using finger mullet, croakers on occasion and gold spoons, but to each his own and we all have our little niches. Good luck and tight lines.

I also wanted to add that between the island and the point it is pretty shallow and wading right there is pretty hard due to the soft mud, so anchor up and sit tight. Wading(Im normally in the water) in Copano bay outside Swan lake is really good for trout and the occasional reds as well. Look for blue tails and scattering mullet, if you can find these then all you have to do is make them bite. hahaha good luck.

Fishing is the chance to wash one's soul with pure air.
It brings meekness and inspiration, reduces our egoism,
soothes our troubles and shames our wickedness.
It is discipline in the equality of men--for all men
are equal before fish
