Had a great friend introduce for to Revenge Baits several years ago and they have become the only brand of jigs I use. Like most companies who make jig heads, they make a variety of products including but not limited to flipping jigs, swim jigs, punch skirts, swimbait heads, vibrating jigs, etc.

The name Revenge sounds a little too aggressive. I'm surprised they haven't been protested. I like my baits to have softer, more friendly names like, Cotton Candy Light Vegetation Fine Wire Lure....

Depends on what you're planning to do with it. Jigs are tools just like any other bait.

If you are flipping heavy cover with 80# braid make sure the hook is adequate for it. The Hack Attack jig is a great tool for this job. So is the Oldham's Eye Max jig. Both jigs are made with The Siwash Salmon hook and an extra stout fiber weedguard specifically for the up close & personal stuff.

If you're making long bombing casts out into deep water with fluorocarbon the hook on the Hack Attack & Eye Max jig will cost you fish. The wire diameter is too big to get the hook into a fish effectively 40 yards away.

I lost a giant on Fork last Memorial Day on the Eye Max jig because I got lazy and didn't change baits. I threw it 50 yards out on 20# Flo and got bit as soon as it hit bottom in 20' of water. I set the hook as hard as I could on a 7' 3" X-heavy rod and fought the fish all the way to the boat. She never jumped until she got to the boat. She made one little backflip at the boat & the jig came flying back at my face! Wasn't the jig's fault. Had I been using a jig with less than a TUNA Hook I probably would've gotten the hook in her much better at that long range.

A good jig for deep water with Flo is the Brauer Structure Jig or the Booyah Boo Jig. I like the Boo jig because it has rattles and a decent hook for $2.99 plus I did catch my PB on it so I am a little partial. Both of these jigs have a less stiff weedguard than the two mentioned above. Consequently if you flip with one of these with heavy line the hook will most likely flex & open up on a good fish.

Santone makes a great product as do others. Just make sure you are using the right tool for the job.

I like the Oldham trailer hitch, Santone, and M-Pack. I would like to try that Viper XP. Ten Bears makes a tungsten jig that is very nice as well.

i personally like lifted jigs, especially having the screw lock on the the pitch n swim
