Got on the water early and started catching gills and bass right off the bat. Things were looking up for sure then the wind which they said was going to be under 10 mph from the south picked up really good and was basically coming from the North. So that limited some of the places I wanted to try. I did not go over to the coal pile area because I did not want to put up with the dust. Not a ton of people on the water either. I did manage to catch some good fish just about everywhere I went. The wind made it tough for sure throwing those small baits. I found fish still sitting on beds (with the Livescope they can't hide) so they are still spawning. Had a great day and a lot better than the poor fellow I posted about in the bass section. My next trip Im going to go to Bastrop. It wont be for two weeks because my skag got damaged again and it needs to go to the shop next week.
