This might be in the wrong place, but here we go. My son has a 2002 Mercury XR6 150 that won't start and the trim does not work. I found a wiring diagram and have the problem isolated to a fuse, which shows to be located around the motor. Problem is I can not find the fuse. Does anyone know where it is located? I don't want to start pulling things off the motor to try to find it and it not be there. Any help will be much appreciated.

It may not look like a traditional fuse. Look for something similar to this.

Longshot here. My 2001 Mercury EFI literally has a blade fuse stuck into the engine on the right side. You have to take the cowling off to get to it.

Be safe,
