Never been to Fork but finally putting a trip together. 2 kids 9-10 looking for lodging and a guide for 2 trips out chasing crappie. Any info on a nice place to stay, a guide to show them a good time wld be appreciated. Aug 10-12.

If you have a boat no guide is needed right now on Fork. It is fishing as good as it gets right now

I can second the recommendation for Slewfoot as your guide.

I have always avoided two lakes like the plague...Tyler and Fork! I just have never enjoyed fishing them (bass) Fork due to the rude fishermen and yankee boat traffic in the spring and Tyler due to the pleasureboats. Now that I am crappie fishing some I may have to give Fork a try again.

I hate yankee boats.
