My fiance and I are still in the middle of this foster-to-adopt journey, with a 7 year old girl who can be stubborn, defiant, moody, etc.
But it's all worthwhile when she gets up in the morning, and the first words she says are "Daddy, can we go fishing today?"

Congrats to you and your fiance, it takes special people to make that journey. I watched my son and daughter-in-law experience the journey and I now have a foster-to-adopted grandson that's my little fishing buddy.
